    Home Depot’s Pro Referral program is a lead generation service for Home Depot Customers and professionals who shop at Home Depot. Once Dunbar's Electric was approved, now when Home Depot customers request an in home or office electrical installation in our jurisdiction that lead forwards over to use as a professional service cal.

    To become a Pro, you have to provide ID verification, complete a FBI background check (provided by Home Depot), provide a certificate of insurance that meets Home Depot’s insurance requirements, and, depending on your services, provide state licensing information 

    Home Depot Pro Referral Insurance Requirement

     Home Depot requires you to have General Liability and Workers’ Compensation insurance, and list them as a Certificate Holder. The limits and language for each of these things will need to be exactly right on your certificate of insurance when you apply to be a Pro. 

    General Liability

    General liability covers third-party bodily injury and property damage. For example, if you damaged something in a client’s home, it would help pay to replace it. You’ll need to meet all the specific sub-limits below:

    Each Occurrence: $1,000,000
    Damage to Rented Premises (each occurrence): $300,000
    Medical Expenses (any one person): $5,000
    Personal & Advertising Injury: $1,000,000
    General Aggregate: $2,000,000
    Products & Completed Operations Aggregate: $2,000,000

    Workers’ Compensation

    Workers’ Compensation covers your employees when they are injured on the job. If you don’t have employees, you likely won’t have to purchase workers’ compensation.
